Mission Statement: To support the wellbeing of all persons who identify as Nigerian living in the Municipality of Chatham-Kent.

Vision Statement: To create a thriving community of persons who celebrate their cultural heritage while enriching their new home.

Goals:

  • Provide informal support to encourage integration so that newcomers to Chatham-Kent who identify as Nigerian come and choose to stay.
  • Foster positive networking amongst Nigerians living in Chatham-Kent and beyond.
  • Celebrate and preserve a shared heritage through social occasions and educational offerings.
  • Support the crucial work of developing and implementing the Municipality of Chatham-Kent’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Strategy.
  • Seek participation opportunities in our local community’s events and programs.
